About this scholarship

Background: This scholarship was established for commencing PhD students, in the Faculty of Pharmacy, to conduct research in the area of direct pain relieving drugs.

Open to:

  • Applicants must have completed a Bachelor Degree with First Class Honours (or H1 equivalent results) or have completed a four-year degree with an outstanding record of professional and/or research achievements since graduation.
  • Applicants with a Bachelors and Masters degree (predominately by coursework but with enough research components to be accepted into the PhD program) are also eligible to be considered.

Value: The scholarship will be valued at the same rate as the Research Training Program, indexed annually and tenable for up to 3 years.

Duration: The scholarship shall only be tenable whilst the successful applicant is enrolled in PhD studies in the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Sydney. Periods of study already undertaken towards the degree prior to the commencement of the award will be deducted from the maximum period of tenure.
