Postgraduate Research Scholarship in the Role of Monocytes in Diabetes Complications

About this scholarship

Background:

A unique opportunity is available for an outstanding Masters by Research or PhD scholar to undertake research in the role of monocytes in the development of diabetes complications.

Open to:

  1. This Scholarship is offered subject to the applicant having an unconditional offer of admission in a Masters by Research or PhD at the Sydney Medical School at the University of Sydney.
  2. Applicants must be willing to undertake research in the role of monocytes and diabetes complications.
  3. Applicants must hold an Honours degree or equivalent in medical sciences or biomedical sciences.

 Value & Duration:

The Scholarship will provide an annual stipend allowance equivalent to the minimum rate of the Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend Scholarship for up to two years, subject to satisfactory academic performance.

An extension of up to one year may be offered when funds become available.

The maximum duration of the Scholarship (including any extension) will not exceed two years for a Masters by Research, or three years for a PhD.
