The office is very warm and welcoming. During work hours, everyone is very happy to answer any questions you have and help where they can. The office also has a great social club, who organise events throughout the year.

Similar to many large international cooperation, the company values structure. There could be more socializing in the office. Colleagues are very nice people to work with

Everyone is friendly and is help to help with questions. There is always a fun team environment in and out of work. Friday night drinks are always good before you catch up to meet friends. There are monthly lunches provided by Stantec and group tramps, skiing trips etc to get involved in.

I think I am fortunate as my team culture would be a 10 but the overall company culture is a bit lower. I would currently rate it a 7 but getting much better. They are focusing on improving culture at the moment with working groups and I have been incredibly impressed with their reaction to Covid19, particularly in the transport sector of the business.

Stantec encourages cooperation regardless of the hierarchy/experience level and mentoring from experienced engineers is extremely helpful. The office is very social and everyone is friendly.

I feel it is very easy to talk with seniors or the bosses in the company which is great, there doesn't feel like there is a hierarchy in terms of who can talk to who. The culture of the company varies between the teams. In UP&ES it is a hard working and social culture. We work hard to deliver well on a project however work together to achieve this and also value work/life balance so try not to work outside of standard hours unless necessary. Most of the socialising with colleagues occurs during work such as at lunch time or morning tea time when we do the Herald quiz. There is the social club and DPG which does a lot of social events outside of work hours.

Everyone jokes around with everyone, from the grads to the big dogs. Socialising outside the office everyone who attends lets loose and your boss is more like a friend.

Overall healthy which I don't say lightly, but some of the older staff occasionally have outdated opinions - these aren't mean or malicious but awkward.
