They give you a roadmap and tell you what competencies are expected in order to be promoted. They then help you along with these in goal setting sessions and appraisals.

Nothing personally but we do a fundraiser every month for different charities.

Everyone is valued and even as a grad people listen to your ideas and feedback. Great social culture with Friday night drinks and amazing social club events (e.g. Rottnest trip, cooking class, comedy performance). My division is really friendly with everyone being inclusive and encouraging new staff to join in on social activities outside of work. Within the work hour, people are helpful and happy to answer questions or teach me things I don't know, never making me feel like I am bothering them.

I've not felt once that anyone has been shut down or rejected or singled out. In nature, the culture is diverse as it is, but there's definitely a focus on acceptance and care.

Mainly completing tax returns and end of year financial reports for clients. Some client meetings and assistance with other client concerns including tax planning, succession planning, ATO dealings and software implementation.

My mentor manager goes well out of her way to make sure I have the stuff to do and give me feedback. Managers give an appraisal after every job and you have regular check-ins to consider your goals and strategies with your mentor.

Great office space with all the equipment required to carry out daily tasks. Business attire is the appropriate dress code.

The pay could be better to start with but goes up every 6 months to a year as you gain experience and work through your CA.

Training programmes are very engaging and exciting. Trainers are always enthusiastic about what they are teaching. Soft skills are probably the most important skills I have learned in this training.

My firm is relatively flexible, so long as I clear it beforehand I can start or leave earlier or later and choose to take a shorter lunch if I wish to leave earlier. I am not expected to work over my 8:30 am-5:00 pm regular hours, although I often stay back 10-15min and finish whatever I am working on.

Using features like docu-sign, a digital signing platform really helps eliminate paper usage in the office. I've also notice motion sensor lights in the bathroom which help to decrease energy usage.
