Lander & Rogers is a leading independent Australian law firm operating nationally from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. We are proud to be the trusted adviser to many publicly listed and private Australian companies, Australian subsidiaries of global companies as well as all levels of government.

We have nearly 500 staff nationally, seven broad areas of practice, and we cover a range of industry sectors, with a focus on financial services, insurance, government, infrastructure, real estate and retail and supply chain.

Our firm believes that legal services are much more than just the law - they are about great people, sustained excellence and exceptional client service. We have a reputation in the legal market as a provider of premium legal services, and as a sought after employer. We are renowned in Australia for our down-to-earth and friendly workplace culture.

We offer a Seasonal Clerkship program in our Melbourne office and aim to recruit 100% of our Graduates from our Seasonal Clerks. We go to market annually to recruit for our Graduate program in Sydney.

Our Seasonal Clerk and Graduate programs build on your university education in a range of practical ways including structured training, workshops and mentoring, but mostly by doing real work for real clients.

We look for people with the intelligence to tackle complex and interesting legal scenarios, energy to absorb new concepts and willingness to work productively and collaboratively with different people.

What Graduates Say About Them
  • Amazing culture, mentors, work-life balance. The company really invests in the graduates and makes the graduate year as beneficial and enjoyable as possible. There are so many opportunities for graduates to do compulsory and non-compulsory training seminars, go to events and meet new people.
  • It has an amazing work culture. Everyone is very supportive and hands on. They actively provide feedback on your work and help you grow as a young lawyer
  • The culture and inclusiveness is fantastic. I have definitely felt part of the team at the firm since day one. I have been very supported throughout the transition from University to working life and couldn't be happier.
  • The best thing about working at Lander & Rogers is the people. The firm engenders a friendly, warm and supportive work culture.
  • Doesn't have the breadth of practice areas as larger firms
  • I wouldn't say there's a "worst" thing. One of the things that is potentially a downfall for some people, is the fact there is limited cross jurisdictional work, but this is the case with any domestic firm.

I generally work in a team, working with more senior lawyers in the group. But I also am very well supported and supervised to take on more responsibility on smaller matters.
