The firm has an established pro bono program which is supported by the staff of the firm. It involves the firm establishing partnerships with a number of not-for-profit organisations that it provides both financial and legal support. It is a fantastic program with great opportunities.
On a regular basis I am involved in running legal presentations to kids in disadvantaged schools, answering legal questions asked by children through a national cyber law project; and providing migration advice to refugees. I also assist with one-off pro bono tasks such as assisting with a High Court case in relation to refugees on Nauru.
We still use too much paper, but we do a lot of charity events and pro bono work.

KWM is involved in a lot of pro bono work. I have worked on regular initiatives including the Refugee/Homeless legal clinic and the National Youth and Children's Cyber Law Centre. We also assist the Human Rights Law Centre and other special interest groups with projects, and not-for-profit organisations with their legal arrangements, which I have worked on at various times.
We have pro bono initiatives and workplace giving which support a wide range of charities and associations. We have a focus on helping out young children and the homeless.
