9 hours days, 8 days a fortnight.
Depending on your manager, working hours are quite flexible. You can start late/finish late if desired. You can also take a couple of hours off and just make up the time later as well.
I have never felt pressured to work overtime. This is a huge benefit of working for this organisation. They respect and encourage work-life balance.
Energy Queensland offers me flexible work conditions and I am very appreciative of this. I work 9 hours/day, 4 days/week (36 hours each week). I am currently studying a Master degree and this flexibility allows me to undertake my study; as well as achieve work life balance.
They are extremely flexible; I do a 9-day fortnight.
My company is vey flexible - they are happy to make formal arrangements.
As a father of four, I am constantly required to help cater to my children's needs. I find that all of the managers thus far have been fantastic and have been very flexible. Whenever I need to leave half an hour early, there is no problem with me starting half an hour early and finishing half an hour early. They are all very understanding and have all told me that their expectations within the role and as long as I achieve my salary hours for the week, they are happy. I'm so satisfied with my role on average I do a minimum of 5 hours voluntary overtime a week as I yearn to learn even more with my time in each group.
Many options available for flexibility, these include 9-day fortnights, compressed 8-day fortnights and work from home options.
Option of 9-day fortnight is great. Flexible work hours (within bounds) and some flexibility with working from home now.
You're able to do longer and shorter days if you need to pop out of the office for other commitments. You're never expected to do a longer day on average.
