What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
No bonuses but salary is great compared to other companies. Progress in the graduate program is fast
Graduate, Brisbane
High paying for a graduate role straight out of university. Clearly structured salary progression program for graduates with the opportunity to increase in salary every 6-months.

I would consider the pay to be very good, this is highlighted when I compare my salary to that of my fellow university graduates who work for other organisations. It far surpassed any other offers I received.

Energy Queensland has very appealing wages. We do not receive bonuses, however pay packages and inclusions (paid training, overtime and standby allowances) are very competitive.

There are no bonuses, but pay is a good level.
Midlevel, Brisbane
As a graduate we don't receive bonuses, however the pay progression is fantastic. We receive a pay review every six months and if our targets are met we receive a large increase in remuneration.

What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
Company will pay for relocation expenses if undertaking a rotation in a different part of the state for 12 months
Graduate, Brisbane
No free bonuses (being a government-owned organisation). However there are some benefits such as Fitness Passport, cheaper tickets to things like movies and some events for being a member (paying member) of the social club.
Graduate, Cairns
Fitness Passport, which costs around $12/week and gives you access to a huge variety of gyms. Good super, access to technical training 4x per year and associated travel costs, corporate card.
Graduate, Rockhampton
We do not have perks such as free tickets, free dinners, etc; rather, the best perk at Energy Queensland is the two days of volunteer leave annually. I think this perk truly reflect the company's commitment to community service, work/life balance and meaningful work.

Good allowances when traveling or working in anther city
Graduate, Cairns
The graduate program has a fantastic training and development budget which caters for technical courses per rotation and a business course each financial year. Also, there is a great relocation package and often graduates are encouraged to utilise this to relocate to get further opportunities within different groups, that might not be available at their location.
Graduate, Rockhampton
Additional super contributions, access to discount gym memberships, salary sacrifice options.
