One of the main reasons I wanted to work for CommBank was because I always had really good customer experiences myself. I had never had a negative experience, and I can’t think of any other businesses that I had interacted with where I consistently had a positive experience – I knew this was where I wanted to work and was excited to see what happens behind the scenes to make the customer experience so incredible.
The CommBank Summer Intern Program was my first preference when I was applying for internships. It was a time when big data was becoming an exciting space to work in. The Analytics Program at CommBank has a diverse range of areas where you can learn analytics in a detailed way, so it was the perfect program for me at the time. From the Intern Program, I made my way into the Graduate Program not long after.
The reason I wanted to continue my career here is that I had such an amazing experience during my few weeks of being an Intern. There’s a big focus and culture of development in CommBank. People are so supportive, whether it was inside or outside my team, they’re always helping me with career conversations and supporting what I want to achieve in life. I’m beyond thankful for all the people who’ve helped me along the way.
In my current role as an Insight Analyst, we use advanced analytical skills and complex data to deliver insights and add value to drive the recommendations we give to solve business problems. The business is very open for us to work in a branch or frontline call centre for a day and have that direct exposure with customers if we are interested because that could be beneficial to our work in the back. I feel excited that every day I play a small part in helping our customers improve their financial wellbeing.
