Office & Workplace at Austal Australia

7.5 rating for Workplace, based on 11 reviews
Please comment on your company's office space, location and facilities. And while we're at it, please tell us a little about the dress code.
Basic with what you need. A few plants around to make it a bit less sterile. Dress code is office casual so pretty comfortable. Formal if working with clients.

Basic. Half of office space in 40 yr building, not really fit for purpose at head office in relation to facility, noise, bathroom facilities, parking. the dress code , thankfully issues a standard polos top for hot weather. PPE is required onsite which can be annoying. helmet ,safety glasses and high vis, whether going to the canteen or to your car.

The dress code is generally casual but professional so polo shirts are the nor at production sites PPE and closed shoes are a must in some cases Offices are open plan so we site in one big room and share desks, kitchens come with coffee, tea, milk, microwaves etc Some spaces are old (the company has been around for 30 years) but there are always making improvements where necessary

Open-office plan, large desks (1.6m wide, 0.8m deep), multiple sites, buildings and office spaces. Close-to-coast location means fantastic weather conditions, close-to-construction locations means extra noise. Each desk is adorned with dual-screen displays. Close-by kitchens (multiple per building), and an on-site canteen with a variety of food options at our headquarter site.
